3.5 Patient Workspace

Admin staff logged into SmartND are able to manage many aspects of the office, including patients, scheduling and office information. When masked as a practitioner, admin staff can maintain various patient information in the patient workspace. If admin staff is not masked as a practitioner, they can only maintain general patient information in the patient workspace.

3.4.1 Patient Work Space

A) Viewing Patient Work Space As Admin.

When a user is logged as admin, they can manage certain parts of a Patients Work Space.

  • While logged in as admin, select Patients on the left hand side navigation bar.
  • This will open the Master Patient List for the office, and will show what practitioners each patient is associated with.
  • Select the Green Person Icon beside a patients name. This opens up that patients Work Space.
  • This Patient Work Space can allow you to view Patient Information, Visit History, Clinical Tools, Associated Circles and Forms & Questionnaires.

When admin is masked as a practitioner, they have more access to a Patient’s Workspace.

  • While logged in as admin, select “View the page as the following user”
  • Select a practitioner who’s patient workspace you need access to.
  • Select Patients on the left hand side navigation bar.
  • This will open the Master Patient List of patients associated with the selected practitioner.
  • Select the Green Person Icon beside a patients name. This opens up that patients’s Workspace.
  • The Patient’s Workspace can allow you to view the Patient Information, Visit History, Clinical Tools, Documents, Associated Circles and Forms & Questionnaires.

The Documents Tab is not accessible unless the admin is masked as a practitioner. (More On Documents Below)

 

3.4 Admin masked as Practitioner in patient work space

A) Viewing Patient Work Space As Admin Masked As A Practitioner.

 

3.4.2 Uploading Documents Into A Patient Work Space.

When a user is logged as admin, they can manage certain parts of a Patients Workspace. But they can not upload Documents unless they are masked as a practitioner. Once they are masked as a practitioner, they are only able to view patients associated with that practitioner.

When the admin is masked as a practitioner they can upload Documents for any patient listed with that practitioner. These Documents uploaded will only be accessible to that practitioner, even if that patient is associated with more than one practitioner in that office.

When that practitioner logs into their SmartND account, they will be able to see any new files uploaded.

  • While logged in as admin, select “View the page as the following user”
  • Select a practitioner who’s patient work space you need access to.
  • Select Patients on the left hand side navigation bar.
  • This will open the Master Patient List of patients associated with the practitioner the admin is masked as.
  • Select the Green Person Icon beside a patients name. This opens up that patients Work Space.
  • Select Documents.
  • Drag & Drop or Click to Upload a file.
