8.4 How to Create a Discount

The following are instructions on how to create a new discount. Detailed Instructions on how to apply a discount to an Invoice are available in the following Help File:

 

  1. Go to Billing and Dispensary in the left-hand main navigation bar, it is the icon that resembles a shopping cart.
  2. At the top of the page, click on the fifth tab called “Settings” and choose “Promotions” from the drop-down.
  3. At this new page, click on the “+” icon on the right-hand side to create a new promotion.
  4. You must name the discount to be able to proceed, so this could be i.e: “Senior Discount”, “Member Discount” etc.
  5. Fill out the fields as necessary, it is crucial to especially fill out the discount type which is either a percentage or a fixed amount, and the discount is the amount that would be subtracted from the total price of the product/service.
  6. Once completed, click the Save button on the top right-hand corner.
  7. This newly created discount will now appear in the promotions tab and will be available to add to an invoice as well.
